Student positions

NITO Department of Biomedical Laboratory Sciences is looking for committed biomedical laboratory technician students.

Do you want to join us in Lisbon as a student representative?

Every year, the European Association of Biomedical Science (EPBS) meets to discuss various biomedical laboratory science challenges and exchange experiences. Each member state provides one to two biomedical laboratory technician students who represent their country in the student forum. The forum will be held in English and will address current topics for biomedical laboratory science students. There will be some preparation in advance.

We are preferably looking for 1st or 2nd year students, but if you are a 3rd year student, you can also apply.

This year's meeting of the EPBS will be held in Lisbon, Portugal on November 4-8, 2026. You must apply for time off from teaching at your educational institution.

As travelling biomedical laboratory science students, NITO covers all expenses for travel, accommodation and participation fees. You will be given a diet for those meals that are not included. NITO books and pays flights, hotels and participation fees, while travel by bus/train must be booked by the individual student and reimbursed according to travel expenses.

We are also announcing the opportunity to be a student representative in our Advisory Committee for Education. This position is for only one year at a time. The Committee for Education works with relevant topics relevant to the biomedical laboratory science education and practice.

The application deadline is 15 May 2026.
