What happens on a visit?
NITO provides company group advisers, union representatives and employees who know working life well. At the meeting, we go through the topic you have chosen in advance, and we answer questions that arise along the way.
As a union representative, you will receive help and advice prior to the visit, so that you know how to call the meeting and how to get as many people as possible, including colleagues who are not already members.
The meeting can be scheduled for the morning, lunchtime, or towards the afternoon. We adapt to what is best for you and ensure easy catering for the meeting.
What do you want to talk about?
You decide the theme of the visit. NITO adapts the program to what is most relevant for your company group right now. If there is something you are passionate about or need to learn more about, we are happy to bring it up during our visit to you.
Here are some examples of what other business groups have wanted:
- New to working life – Give the youngest employees more knowledge about working life and what NITO is. This is also open to those who are not members. Learn about what NITO does as a trade union, employees' rights and obligations in working life and the interaction between employees, the company and society.
- Payroll work in practice – Learn about how you can specifically get started with systematic payroll work, and how all members of the company group can contribute to this.
- Pension – Learn about the pension system and where/how to get started to gain knowledge about your own pension accrual (Currently reserved for those groups who are in the private sector and have AFP).

- Tripartite cooperation – Learn about what lies behind the tripartite cooperation and the need for an organised working life. Many people are surprised that the benefits they have today are not statutory, but contractual through collective agreements.
- Downsizing and restructuring – Learn about the processes, what is required and how it should be carried out in an orderly manner. Get the opportunity to be involved in influencing processes, and help and support to stand in the cases that arise through a difficult process.
