Digital course: AI in the workplace – from theory to responsible working life
What does artificial intelligence mean for you, your members and the workplace? This digital course consists of five modules that provide union representatives with a common basis for understanding, discussing and influencing how AI is used in Norwegian working life.
Artificial intelligence is currently part of many companies' everyday working lives. The technology can create new opportunities, but also raises important questions about competence, co-determination, privacy, changed work tasks and responsible use.
NITO, Finansforbundet and Negotia have developed the course together with Digital Norway.
Take the course at Digital Norway
Why should you take the course?
As a union representative, you do not need to be a technology expert to actively participate in conversations about AI in the workplace. But you should know enough to be able to ask good questions, lift the members' perspectives and help ensure that the introduction takes place in a safe and responsible way.
In the course, we demystify artificial intelligence. You will gain insight into what tasks AI can be suitable for, what risks need to be assessed, and how technology and the Norwegian model can interact.
After the course, you will be more confident in the dialogue with your employer, colleagues and members about the use of AI in your business.
What you'll learn
Through the course, you will gain knowledge about, among other things:
- what artificial intelligence is, and how technology affects working life
- how machine learning, data, and algorithms work in practice

- how businesses and employees can contribute to responsible use of AI
