NITO's mentoring programme
Are you new as a leader or curious to develop? NITO's mentoring programme provides you with support, networks and practical advice to grow as a young leader.
If you are new to the leadership role and you who have experience as a leader, you have a lot to learn from each other. In NITO's mentoring programme, an experienced mentor is matched with a new leader who wants to develop. The mentor acts as both a supervisor and a conversation partner, and you build a collaboration where the exchange of experiences is at the center.
Through open conversations, you will gain insight, support and concrete advice that will help you grow in your leadership role. It is the dialogue and exchange of experience between mentor and candidate that makes this programme unique.

In the mentoring program, experienced leaders are connected with new leaders who want to develop in the role of leader.

The mentor will act as a sparring partner and personal guide for the candidate. The mentor will ask good questions, challenge the candidate, as well as share their experiences and give advice in given situations.

The mentor program started in 2023 and will be carried out in 2025 for the third time in a row.

The program lasts for one year, and in addition to regular contact between the mentor pairs, both candidates and mentors participate in three physical meetings with academic programs throughout the year. In addition, two digital gatherings will be arranged for mentors and candidates, respectively.

The program is for NITO members and it is free to participate
In the mentoring program, employees get access to unique insights and information that are not conveyed through regular channels or training programs. This is an effective way to develop their leadership skills and to put theory into practice.
Who is the mentoring program for
The mentor program is for both new and experienced leaders who want to share their experience, have a sparring partner and gain better insight into themselves and their leadership.
As a candidate, you get an experienced discussion partner who asks the right questions, gives good advice and shares your own experiences.
As a mentor, you use your leadership experience to challenge, support and guide the candidate in different situations. You will get good training in listening and asking questions, and thus also develop as a leader.
