Real wage growth in social enterprises expected

The members must get their share of the value they create in the workplaces," says Oddvar Steinhaug, head of NITO Samfunnsbedriftene.

- It is also a requirement that the negotiations must take place locally, and that the negotiations must be real, says Steinhaug.

NITO's members in Samfunnsbedriftene represent industries where there is a great need to safeguard the engineering expertise that companies have today.

- We see that our members possess key expertise that is crucial in a time of demands for rapid restructuring, digitalization and green shift. In order for employers to be able to attract the right expertise, local negotiations must be an important pillar of the employer's personnel policy.

Employers must take this into account in this year's wage negotiations. They must use wages as a tool to retain and recruit the workforce NITO's members represent," Steinhaug emphasizes.

Start of negotiations:

  • Corporate Agreement: May 13
  • Energy Agreement II: 20 May
