The wage settlement in Spektrum has been completed
NITO's wage settlement in the Spektrum collective agreement area has now been completed. Both the health trusts and other businesses were completed before June, and all areas are thus closed.
The result of the settlement
The settlement has landed on a par with the frontline trade. For the health sector, the result on the decimal places is behind 4.4 per cent, while for the other enterprises in Spektrum there is somewhat more room for manoeuvre.
NITO's union representatives have conducted around 80 local negotiations and secured solutions that are rooted in the organisation's wage and working conditions policy.

This is how NITO negotiates in Spektrum
NITO negotiates with the employers' organisation Spektrum through SAN, the association of academic organisations in Spekter. The negotiations have three phases:
Phase 1 - initial central negotiations
Spektrum and SAN negotiate Part A of the agreement in phase 1 of the negotiations. Part A contains the general provisions that apply to all members.
Phase 2 - local negotiations
Locally, it is the employer/health trust and the local associations in SAN, or a SAN group, that are parties in phase 2 where they negotiate part B of the agreement. Part B contains provisions on, for example, pay and working hours for most of NITO's members in the Spekter area.
Phase 3 - final central negotiations
If the parties do not reach agreement locally, the central parties try to resolve the disagreement in phase 3, which is the final central negotiations. These do not take place for the entire Spekter area as a whole, but per area. These are defined in the collective agreement. For example, health trusts with hospital operations are a separate area.
Even if part B has been agreed locally, the negotiations are not complete until the protocol has been signed by the central parties. Only then can the result of the local negotiations be implemented.
