Wage statistics Samfunnsbedriftene in 2024 - expecting more
The figures ensure real wage growth, but critical and sought-after skills should have paid off better on the paycheck, says Kjetil Tysse-Hostad.
"The general wage increase of 4.7 per cent ensures real wage growth, but we must be able to expect a better wage development in an area where our members possess sought-after and critical expertise," says Kjetil Tysse-Hostad, head of Samfunnsbedriftene.
"Companies are facing new demands for restructuring and digitalization, and our members will have a very important role in this area in the years to come.
Unfortunately, many union representatives find that employers refer to the frontline union framework when they locally negotiate the size of the framework.
"This is happening despite the fact that our collective agreements state that it is the company's ability to pay that should form the basis for the size of the framework.
- Thus, it is perhaps not so striking that the general wage development for social enterprises of 4.7 per cent is almost equal to that of municipalities, which according to NITO's wage statistics has a general wage development of 4.8 per cent.
The wage development for identical persons is 6.4 per cent. - That is a perfectly fine number, but not more.

"There is reason to believe that average wage growth will be lower in 2025, but the goal of good real wage growth for our members remains unchanged.
Encourages everyone to register their salary development
Tysse-Hostad is pleased that the response rate from last year has increased from 54 percent to 61 percent, but at the same time he encourages even more people to report their salary.
- The higher the response rate, the more accurate our statistics will be, which our members and union representatives use as a basis for wage negotiations.
