NITO Oslo and Akershus Annual Meeting 2027

What should NITO focus on in the coming year? Which issues are important to you, your colleagues or your business group? As a member, you have the opportunity to influence both priorities, activities and who will represent the members in the years ahead.

The annual meeting is the department's most important democratic arena. Here, priorities, budgets and goals for the coming year are adopted, while elections are held for key positions in the department. The annual meeting is also a meeting place where you can develop your network, discuss the organisation's development and help set the agenda for NITO's work locally and nationally.

Elections in 2027

At the annual meeting, representatives are elected to several important positions in NITO Oslo and Akershus. Who is elected has an impact on how the department is to be developed and which issues are highlighted in the future.

Congressional Elections 2027

The annual meeting in 2027 will have a particularly important task through the election of delegates to NITO's congress. The congress is NITO's highest body and determines the organization's political direction, statutes and priorities for the coming period. The representatives elected from NITO Oslo and Akershus will therefore help influence important decisions for the entire organization.

If you want to contribute to NITO's development locally and nationally, or know candidates who can represent the members in a good way, you are encouraged to contact the nomination committee. The choices made at the annual meeting in 2027 will have an impact far beyond the department's own activities.

Tip the nomination committee

Throughout the year, the nomination committee works to identify and recruit candidates with different experiences, skills and backgrounds. If you have suggestions for candidates, or if you want to contribute to the department's work, you are encouraged to contact the nomination committee.

Committed members are crucial for a vibrant organisational democracy. The nomination committee therefore greatly appreciates input from members, business groups and union representatives.

We also recommend that candidates and members familiarise themselves with the Ethics Committee's recommendations on conduct in election processes in NITO.

Do you have an issue you would like the annual meeting to address?

The annual meeting deals with matters that are important to the branch and its members. If you wish to influence NITO's work, you can submit proposals that you believe should be considered by the annual meeting.

There may be suggestions related to:

  • The department's activities and initiatives
  • Member offers and events
  • political or professional priorities
  • Organizational development and member engagement
  • cases that affect members or business groups in Oslo and Akershus

The deadline for submitting items to the 2027 annual meeting is 3 February 2027, which is three weeks before the meeting.

It is also possible to contact the department board throughout the year if you have input, suggestions or issues you think the department should work on. Feel free to send an email to if you want to discuss a matter or get assistance in formulating a proposal.

Proxies – do you represent the group of companies?

Union representatives who are going to vote on behalf of a company group must register their representation and distribution of votes via a digital form by the registration deadline for the annual meeting, 19 February 2027.

If the company group has held its own annual meeting and wishes to use a voting proxy, the necessary documentation must be submitted by the deadline of 19 February.

The earlier you get involved, the greater the opportunity you have to influence both which issues are dealt with and who will lead the work further. We hope to see you at the annual meeting in 2027.
