Metrological traceability is a prerequisite for laboratories to be able to produce correct and comparable results. This is often achieved through control and calibration of measuring equipment, as well as the use of certified reference materials. At the same time, it is crucial to understand when control is sufficient, and when calibration is necessary.
The purpose of this course is to give participants a thorough introduction to important concepts in metrology, and help them set up calibration and control regimes for different types of measuring equipment, which include volumetric equipment, thermometers, scales, etc.
