Children's Theatre: The Incredible Story of the Giant Pear

Jakob Martin Strid is a Danish pear and known for his wild humor, colorful universes and fantastic stories at children's level! Many people probably know The Incredible Story of the Giant Pear and this autumn we look forward to launching this on the Main Stage.

40 seaworthy crew members from the Children and Youth Theatre invite you on board and take you on a fruity journey in a cornucopia of a fairy tale, which is dramatised and directed by Captain Charlotte Frogner.

Every night, siblings Mitcho and Sebastian tell each other stories, but one night something amazing happens! The children's room is transformed, the two children become an elephant and a cat, and suddenly the two find themselves in the middle of the mystery of the abducted mayor Bjergstrøm.

In the small town of Solby, Mayor Jeronimus Victor Nicodemus Abraham Bjergstrøm has disappeared. The city's residents despair, because the new mayor has introduced many new laws and regulations. Luckily, Mitcho the elephant and Sebastian the cat find a message in a bottle with a letter from Mayor Bjergstrøm, in the bottle there is also a seed, and when the seed is sown, magical things start to happen!

The incredible story of the giant pear is loaded with courage, mystery, music and fun, and along the way, Mitcho the elephant and Sebastian the cat must deal with pirates, a sea dragon and a gang of ghosts. In other words, it will be an imaginative voyage towards the Mysterious Island and perhaps a pear-like reunion with Mayor Bjergstrøm.
