The world of work is changing, and we are trying to keep up. But if technology is to save us time, why is there more and more to do? We look at how new tools affect everyday work, and what we need to learn, master and feel good at work.

Autumn Conference 2026 - With your head at work and AI on the team

AI and new digital tools are making their way into more and more work tasks. Some things work well. Others require more training, testing and discussion than we had originally thought.

We invite you to a professional day about what happens when new solutions meet a normal working day and a soft person. We will look at what technology can help us with, what we need to learn, and why employees need to be involved when working methods change. Therefore, the day is also about the working environment: How do we create space to learn, without the demands and pace of health being compromised?

We meet at Lager11 for lectures, practical testing and conversations with other engineers and technologists.

This is what we will talk about

  • What AI and new technology mean for our work tasks.
  • How we get time to learn while the job is to be done.
  • What changes do to the working environment and how we feel at work.
  • How employees and union representatives can influence new ways of working.

Bring a PC
We are planning a workshop where you get to try some tools yourself. Bring your own laptop. Information about any tools and login will be provided before the event.

Questions or need for facilitation?
Please contact us if you have questions about the day or need facilitation to participate.

Program
We are working on a program with lectures, a practical AI workshop and a concluding conversation with different perspectives on working life. There will also be time for lunch and good conversations along the way.

Full program and speakers will come. Subject to change.

You will meet, among other things:

Torgeir Waterhouse

Torgeir Waterhouse has worked with IT and IT policy for more than 25 years. He has worked at the Consumer Council and ICT Norway before the start-up of Otte in 2019. In addition, he has participated in several public committees, boards and organizations, such as Learn Kids Coding, and advised and assisted a large number of companies and projects. He is a sought-after advisor, sparring partner and speaker, and is often used in the media.
