Extraordinary congress to conduct elections to the Executive Board
Safina de Klerk resigned last week as vice president of NITO. Today, the board has decided to call an extraordinary congress to conduct elections.
A united Executive Board would like to thank outgoing Vice President Safina de Klerk for the work she has done for NITO. It is regrettable that de Klerk chose to resign and emphasizes that she has been an important voice who has represented NITO in an inspiring and positive way.
At the same time, the Executive Board emphasises that under President Kjetil Lein's leadership, they are united in continuing the work and responsibility they have been given.
"We are a strong and robust organisation that works every day to safeguard and create value for NITO's members," says a joint Executive Board.
President Kjetil Lein is pleased that a united board sets the direction for the process going forward.
- It is good for the organization that we now get a quick clarification, and that we have a good rig in place for an extraordinary congress. Now the election committee will do its important job until the election, says Lein.
Extraordinary congress
The extraordinary congress will be digital and will be held on 10 November. On the basis of the fact that elections are now to be held, board member Ine Marie Oksholen has announced that she wants to resign from her position. She justifies this with personal reasons and the total workload.
The nomination committee is now looking for tips on relevant candidates to replace Safina de Klerk and Ine Marie Oksholen. All working members of NITO can stand for election.
