Regional collective bargaining conference private, region east

Why participate?

This two-hour digital conference will be an effective, concrete and easy meeting place to attend. Earlier this year, NITO discontinued its local collective bargaining committees, and it is now the regional tariff committees that are the link between you as a union representative and the collective bargaining work in the organisation. The goal is better dialogue both ways, so that you get updated and relevant knowledge, while at the same time being able to influence the collective bargaining work through your experiences.

The conference gives you an arena to:

  • Stay up to date on agreements and salary topics
  • share experiences from their own activities
  • record challenges and needs from your everyday work

We invite all union representatives in the private agreement area in Østfold and Innlandet to participate. Whether you are new to the role, experienced or want to become more active. Everyone is welcome to useful experience sharing.

What do you get out of participating?

At the first collective agreement conference for private agreement areas in Region East, we focus on the collective agreement. The agreement is under negotiation this autumn, and we will look at whether there have been any changes recently that you should be aware of. What has happened since the last negotiation, and how has it been followed up in the companies? The central collective bargaining committee takes us through the most important changes.

You get:

  • a review of relevant changes since the previous negotiation
  • insight into how the agreements are followed up in the companies
  • Start-up knowledge that strengthens you in your role as a union representative

Another topic that the conference will look at is pay. Salary is perhaps one of the most important things union representatives work with, and we look at:

  • Salary statistics for the region
  • Importance of Salary Reporting - What and Why?
  • How to Write Disagreement Minutes
  • what happens in the event of a break in the negotiations

You will get concrete advice, practical examples and tools that you can use directly in your work.

Why your experiences matter

You know your workplace best. Your experience is therefore crucial for developing the collective bargaining work further.

Through the conference, you contribute to:

  • give the regional tariff committee a better basis for follow-up and prioritisation
  • highlight challenges and needs in the companies
  • strengthen the exchange of experience between union representatives in the region

The conference is an important meeting place for dialogue, influence and learning - and an opportunity to make your voice heard. The experiences that are shared will help form the basis for further collective bargaining work in private agreement areas. At the same time, NITO wants to provide information about what changes have been made to the agreement system so that you stay up to date.
