Practical use of Copilot in Microsoft 365

Learn how to effectively use Copilot in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to save time, complete tasks faster, and work more productively. The course gives you practical techniques and concrete examples from the tools you already use daily.

This is a practical, hands-on course where you work actively in your own M365 solution. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to an expert, and between the course days, you will work on tasks that will allow you to learn how to use Copilot on specific work tasks. The course is based on active participation, so that the learning becomes both relevant and directly applicable in your everyday work.

What you will learn on the course

  • Get started with Copilot in Microsoft 365: You'll get a hands-on introduction to how to use Copilot in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. We go through basic functions and show how you can use them in your everyday work right away.
  • Better flow in email, meetings, and interaction: Learn how Copilot can help you with emails, calendar, and meeting preparations in Outlook, and how to effectively use Copilot to create meeting summaries in Teams and get help with what to follow up on work tasks. based on dialogue in Teams channels and chat. We'll also look at how Copilot can be used in OneNote for notes and summaries.
  • Writing, presentations, and visual content: Learn how to use Copilot to write, enhance, and edit text in Word, create effective presentations in PowerPoint, and develop simple graphic elements, images, and illustrations.
  • Analyze and work with data: We're working on Copilot in Excel, including new features, and show you how to analyze, summarize, and understand data faster. You'll also get examples of how Copilot can be used to automate tasks.
  • Agents and new opportunities: You will get an introduction to Microsoft's various agents, such as Researcher, facilitator and analyst – and those who are on their way into Office. We also look at how you can create your own agents, and what is going on next in the development of Copilot.
  • Security, privacy and good work habits: We talk about what applies to security and privacy in practical use, and why good structure and data quality are crucial to get good results with Copilot. You will receive specific advice on how to use the tool in a safe and effective way.

Practical information

  • Course completion: The course is conducted digitally in Teams over two days, 17 and 24 September, at 12.00–15.00 both days. Between the sessions, the participants are given practical tasks to work on.
  • Prerequisites and requirements: It is an advantage to have basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams. No prior knowledge of AI is required. Attendees should have a valid Microsoft 365 Copilot license (M365 Copilot or Business Copilot) to take full advantage of the course.
  • Cancellation: If you cancel a professional course or conference after the registration deadline, a fee of 20 percent of the course or conference price will be charged.
