The Coordinator School - SHA on the construction site

In collaboration with RIF, NITO, Quality Norway and NBEF, we invite you to the coordinator school.

The course provides a comprehensive understanding of what is necessary competence to fulfil the coordinator role in a good and appropriate manner in accordance with the Construction Client Regulations.

What you will learn on the course

  • Gain a clear understanding of the different roles and concepts in the Construction Client Regulations and associated legislation and contractual conditions
  • Gain insight into how occupational health and safety regulations and SHA/HSE requirements affect the planning and implementation of building and construction projects
  • Understand what coordination entails – both in theory and practice – and how the coordinator role should be exercised in different phases of the project
  • Get an overview of the coordinator's specific tasks, and how these can be carried out, documented and followed up in an efficient and structured way
  • Develop an understanding of risk and learn to identify, assess and manage risks related to safety, health and the working environment
  • Participate in inspections (for physical courses) to link theory to practice in a real project environment
  • Build a valuable network and social relationships across businesses and professional environments

The Coordinator School helps to create a common understanding of what is meant by the concept of "necessary knowledge and experience" in order to be able to fulfil the coordinator role in a safe and appropriate manner. At the same time, the school must contribute to meeting the industry's need for qualified coordinators.

In cooperation with NITO, RIF og TEKNA

This course is part of the construction collaboration together with RIF and Tekna. Tekna, RIF and NITO have a total of approximately 25,000 members related to the building, construction and real estate market (BAE). Our respective members work closely together on projects primarily on the consultant side, but also on the builder and contractor side. It is therefore natural that our members and other networks receive the same continuing education offer within the mentioned industry.
