Social gathering with food and entertainment
The Pensioners' Committee in Innlandet East invites you to a joint Christmas dinner with entertainment prior to the serving. For Christmas food, lutefisk with side dishes or a Christmas plate will be served. Register what food you want during registration. Afterwards, dessert and coffee will be served.
Prior to the dinner, author, folklorist and folklore researcher Thor Gotaas will give a lecture on the history of the Loffers in Innlandet. In the 1930s, thousands of Norwegians went on the loffen. They were vagabonds, took odd jobs and sold goods. Many also wandered in Hedmark, and the last were here until the 1980s.
