About the event
Kunstsilo is a former grain silo that has been transformed into one of Northern Europe's most innovative powerhouses for art and cultural experiences. In this unique building, you can experience exciting art – and at the same time spot smart technical solutions, constructions and engineering in practice.
We want to invite our members and their families to a relaxed and inspiring day, where children get to explore, wonder and be creative together with adults.
Program and meeting point
- 12.00: We gather at Silosalen on the 1st floor to hear more about the building's history and get an introduction to Kunstsilo.
- All day: Look for Eirik and Marianne in NITO shirts who are either on the exhibition floors or at the NITO table by the multi-purpose hall – they will be happy to have a chat and help you get started.
Children's competition: Find and communicate engineering!
- Let the children go exploring in and around Kunstsilo: What do they think an engineer or technologist might have created, built or developed?
- Stop by the multi-purpose hall/children's room and pick up a drawing sheet.
- Draw, color, and write one sentence about what your child has discovered.
- Ask an adult to take a picture of the artwork.
- Send the photo to no later than October 29. We will draw three winners who will receive a surprise in the mail.
- Remember to write the name and age of the child, as well as the name of the NITO member. If several children have made drawings, you are welcome to send in more photos with associated information.
Practical information
- Feel free to write in the comment field when signing up how many children are joining. Then we get a good overview of how many are participating from NITO.
- Children under the age of 18 attend for free. Children over the age of 18 are considered an adult participant.
- The member may bring one adult participant who is not a member.
- The tickets can be used throughout the day, so you can come and go at a pace that suits the family.
- The competition can be carried out when it suits you in the multi-purpose hall/children's room. This is an area NITO Agder shares with all visitors to Kunstsilo.
- Rules for the visit and practical information from Kunstsilo apply and can be read on Kunstsilo's website.
Registration and delivery of tickets takes place at the information desk/Guest Service. You do not need a code – just say that you have tickets sponsored by NITO Agder. We look forward to seeing you!
