NITO Pensioners in Oslo and Akershus invites you to visit the Gaustad Hospital Museum, which conveys the history of Norwegian psychiatry and the development of mental health care over more than 170 years. The museum is located on the grounds of Gaustad Hospital, Norway's oldest psychiatric hospital, and provides a fascinating insight into an important part of Norwegian health and social history.
The visit starts precisely at 12 noon with a guided tour of the museum. We therefore recommend everyone to show up well in advance. After the tour, there will be an opportunity to gather over coffee and something to eat.
The museum is located in building 11 at Gaustad Hospital in Sognsvannsveien 21. We recommend using public transport. Metro line 4 or 5 to Gaustad station is a good alternative, and from there it is a short walking distance to the museum. We recommend that everyone check Ruter's travel planner for updated route information before departure.
There are only 50 seats at the event. Sign up right away to secure your spot. If the event is fully booked, a waiting list will be created.
We hope many people want to participate in this educational and enjoyable gathering together with other members of NITO Pensioners in Oslo and Akershus.
