About trade union policy gathering
The Academic Policy Gathering is NITO's common arena for the exchange of experience, learning and discussion across expert committees, advisory committees in BFI and professional networks. The gathering will strengthen the interaction between disciplines and politics and contribute to NITO's clearer and more coordinated public debate.
Through professional presentations, dialogue and discussion, you will gain increased insight into how NITO works with advocacy work, and how you as a resource person can contribute to this work.
Note: Due to the King's funeral on 9 September, this event has been moved from Thon Hotel Opera to Thon Hotel Drammen on Brakerøya.
Theme for 2026:
The theme for the 2026 Academic Policy Gathering is: "Engineering and technology competence in a society under pressure". This topic will be covered from different perspectives during the session.

Registration and lunch
This is registration and lunch for the expert committees and professional groups. The Executive Board has its own arrangements.
Parallel meetings for the Expert Committees (Room: Midgard 1) and the Expert Groups (Room: Midgard 2)
A detailed program for the various parallel gatherings is given in a separate channel. The Executive Board also has a meeting on this day at the same hotel.
