Compensation for user fees on unemployment benefits
Compensation for user fees on unemployment benefits
If you become unemployed or laid off, you can receive compensation from NITO for the user fee that is deducted in connection with the payment of unemployment benefits.
Help to cover deductibles
When you receive unemployment benefits, NAV deducts a user fee equivalent to three days of unemployment benefits. As a NITO member, you can have your financial loss covered for the user fee once per calendar year, according to the applicable rates at NAV.
Please note the following:
- The scheme requires three months of paid working membership in NITO.
- You are not entitled to compensation if you have resigned, or are responsible for losing your job, and have at least 18 weeks of waiting time before you receive unemployment benefits from NAV.
