5 tips: How to prevent your skis from being stolen
Out skiing, never grumpy... Until you discover that your skis are gone. Then it is good to know that the travel insurance can cover both you and your equipment.
The sun is shining, the conditions are good, and you have a good day on the slopes. But after a well-deserved cocoa in the heated room, you suddenly discover that your skis are gone. What do you do then?
If you are among those who have NITO Travel Insurance, you can have the loss of your ski equipment covered.
Fortunately, there are also some precautions you can take, to avoid the trip being spoiled by skis and equipment that disappears. Here, Tryg, which is NITO's insurance partner, has collected some good tips for you:

Five tips that can help prevent your skis from getting lost
1. Keep your ski equipment under supervision. Feel free to arrange with friends that you can take care of each other's equipment. Make sure to keep your ski equipment in a safe place even at night. Do not leave the skis against the cabin wall, keep them indoors or in a locked storage room.
2. Lock the skis with a ski lock, then thieves will steer away from your skis. Ski locks can also be used on trains or buses.
3. Split the pairs of skis and set the skis some distance apart. Thieves rarely steal just one ski, so let it be difficult for them to find the entire pair.
4. Label your ski equipment well. With names and phone numbers on the skis and poles, the equipment becomes less attractive for resale.
5. Make a note of the production numbers on the ski equipment, so it will be easier to identify if the equipment turns up with the police or others who have found them.
