NITO Accident Basic Insurance

An accident may occur just as easily during a mountain hike as on the way to work or school. If you are injured as a result of an accident, accident insurance may provide compensation for medical expenses and for permanent medical disability.

What does NITO Accident Basic Insurance cover?

  • Compensation for permanent medical disability resulting from an accident – up to 1,000,000 NOK
  • Medical treatment expenses following accidental injury – up to 50,000 NOK
  • Daily hospital cash benefit in the event of hospitalisation for more than five days following accidental injury – 400 NOK per day, to be used at the policyholder’s discretion


The insurance applies 24 hours a day, including during working hours, study periods, and leisure time.
