NITO launches AI course package

Will make members better equipped for the working life of the future

The need for AI competence is increasing rapidly, and many people find that technology is developing faster than they have time to familiarize themselves with it. NITO's new course package will help lower the threshold and make learning more relevant to the individual's job and field of study.

With this initiative, NITO wants to give more people access to in-demand expertise and at the same time contribute to more people being able to use artificial intelligence in a safe, efficient and value-creating way.

From curiosity to practicality

Artificial intelligence is becoming a natural part of everyday work in an increasing number of professions. With the new course package AI in practice, NITO wants to make the technology more accessible, concrete and useful for its members.

The course package is structured as a structured learning journey – from a basic understanding of generative AI to more advanced use of tools that can streamline work processes and automate tasks. The goal is to give participants skills they can use right away.

"We see a great need for expertise that makes artificial intelligence relevant in practice. With this course package, we want to give the participants security, understanding and concrete tools they can use in their own working day," says Bjørn Bellaris, head of section for the competence centre at NITO.

Four courses that build competence step by step

The course package consists of four courses that together provide a comprehensive introduction to how artificial intelligence can be used in working life. Participants first gain a basic understanding of what generative AI is, how the technology works, and what opportunities and limitations exist.

Then the course package moves to more practical use. Participants learn how AI can be used for text production, analysis, ideation and support in daily tasks. In addition, they gain insight into how Microsoft 365 Copilot can be used in tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams to work more efficiently.

For those who want to take a step further, the package also includes a course in AI agents. Here, participants get an introduction to how artificial intelligence can be set up to automate tasks and workflows.
