NITO supports the TV campaign with NOK 121,000

This year, the TV campaign goes to the Norwegian Refugee Council and their work to help people in war and conflict.

NITO contributes one krone per member, over NOK 121,000, to this year's campaign.

"I encourage everyone who has the opportunity to become a gun bearer, or support the campaign in other ways," says Kjetil Lein, president of NITO.

The donation to the Norwegian Refugee Council will help more than 400,000 people in Syria, Palestine (Gaza), Sudan, Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Afghanistan.

"Important cause to support"

Engineers Without Borders (EWB-DK) has projects in several of the countries that are receiving assistance in this year's TV campaign. NITO is a partner with EWB-DK, and has had several engineers who have been out in the field.

"The engineers have contributed to developing infrastructure, securing water supply and energy solutions, among other things," says Lein.

EWB-DK is known for its work with innovative projects that solve critical challenges around the world.
