NITO BFI's Advisory Committee for Education
NITO BFI's Advisory Committee for Education (NITO BFI Education) is composed of representatives from the country's biomedical laboratory science programmes and from the field of practice in medical laboratories.
About the NITO BFI Education Committee
The Committee works with education-related issues and issues, operates the NITO BFI education network, arranges relevant professional courses and takes a stand on matters on behalf of the members in matters within the Committee's field of responsibility.
Mandate for NITO BFI Education
The committee's tasks are as follows:
- Be an advisor to NITO BFI's academic board and NITO BFI's members in educational issues and in professional development for biomedical laboratory scientists.
- Contribute to the administration of specialist approval for biomedical laboratory scientists.
- To stay in touch with and collaborate with relevant professional bodies.
- Keep up to date and seek to influence developments in education, in a national, European and international perspective.
- Based on NITO BFI's guidelines, contribute to ensuring that the Norwegian biomedical laboratory science programmes are harmonised and maintain a high academic level nationally and internationally.
- Be a reference group for NITO BFI's representatives in national and international forums regarding the committee's subject area.
- Contribute with input and professional expertise to NITO BFI's course activities, as well as arrange professional meeting places/conferences for the group of teachers and practice supervisors.
In addition, there are various adhoc tasks and tasks that relate to the committee's subject areas. The mandate was adopted by NITO BFI's academic board at a meeting on 20-21 March 2017.
