NITO BFI's Advisory Committee for Research
NITO BFI's research is broadly composed and consists of committed biomedical laboratory scientists from all over the country who work with or have an interest in research.
About the NITO BFI Research Committee
The members of the committee are elected by NITO BFI's professional board. They provide advice on research-related and professional policy issues, operate professional networks, arrange courses and share their knowledge. This ensures that NITO BFI's measures, strategies and policies are based on a solid scientific basis.
Mandate for NITO BFI research
The committee's tasks are as follows:
- Be an advisor to NITO BFI's academic board and members in research-related matters.
- Contribute to the administration of specialist approval for biomedical laboratory scientists.
- Liaise with and collaborate with relevant professional bodies, including educational institutions.
- Follow developments in research-related processes, nationally and internationally.
- Stimulate biomedical laboratory technicians to research, disseminate and contribute to increased quality in research.
- Be a reference group for NITO BFI's representatives in national and international research forums.
- Contribute input and professional expertise to NITO BFI's course activities and arrange professional meeting places and conferences for biomedical laboratory technicians in research.
In addition, there are various adhoc tasks and other matters relating to the committee's subject areas. The mandate was adopted by NITO BFI's academic board in 2020.
