NITO BFI's professional board

NITO BFI's professional board works actively to promote the biomedical laboratory science profession and ensure quality and development. Here you will find information about the members of the professional board, the board's tasks and roles.  

The academic board is the highest elected body in NITO Department of Biomedical Laboratory Sciences. The academic board is elected every three years by NITO BFI's members.

The Board's tasks

  • Keep up to date on important issues related to subjects and ethics, health and education policy and international work. Follow the media and in your own workplace
  • Making decisions related to the operation and focus areas of NITO Department of Biomedical Laboratory Sciences.
  • Provide input to hearings, the national budget and other political processes
  • On his own initiative, present matters to the professional board.
  • Write two "Fagstyret's opinions" in the journal Bioingeniøren every year
  • Fronting issues in the media for the professional board in agreement with the chair of the professional board and the secretariat
  • The chair of the academic board participates in international work on behalf of NITO BFI. Other members participate by appointment
