NITO BFI in the world - international cooperation

Our international collaboration helps to promote and strengthen the field of biomedical laboratory sciences. 

International cooperation strengthens both the professional development of biomedical laboratory technicians and the profession's position globally. NITO BFI actively participates in international forums and networks, and collaborates with sister organisations to exchange knowledge, promote professional standardisation and contribute to high-quality health services – across national borders.

NITO BFI - Nordic cooperation

NITO BFI participates with the exchange of experience and discussion with the other Nordic biomedical laboratory organizations in the Nordic Medical Laboratory Group (NML). 

NITO BFI - European cooperation

The European Association for Professions in Biomedical Science (EPBS) has been established to promote best practice and ethics among biomedical laboratory scientists, who work in clinical diagnostics and research in Europe.

In addition to being an important professional arena, the International Federation of Biomedical Laboratory Science (IFBLS) is a central meeting place and decision-making forum for the organization's many members.
