NITO BFI's study fund gives you as a member the opportunity to apply for support for further education, research and academic dissemination. You can have expenses for posters and presentations at national and international conferences covered.
As a member of NITO BFI, you can apply for specialist approval – a scheme for those who want to specialise professionally and document their competence. The specialist approval can also provide financial rewards in the form of a salary supplement.
As a member of NITO BFI, you get favorable prices on our courses and conferences. The courses have been developed specifically for biomedical laboratory technicians and provide you with professional replenishment that is relevant to everyday work.

Do you want to get involved professionally? Through participation in NITO BFI's board, councils and committees, you will have the opportunity to influence the development of the biomedical laboratory science profession, build networks and strengthen your own expertise. The department has advisory committees in disciplines, research and education, among other things.
Membership in NITO BFI requires that you are a member of NITO. For biomedical laboratory technicians who work in medical laboratory activities and apply for membership in NITO, BFI membership is mandatory.
Other NITO members without authorisation as biomedical laboratory scientists, who work in the same field as biomedical laboratory technicians or who work significantly with the education of biomedical laboratory scientists, can also be granted membership upon application in accordance with current guidelines.
For membership in NITO BFI, an additional membership fee of approximately ten percent of the basic membership fee is imposed. Student members do not pay any additional fees.
