How to participate with posters at NITO BFI's courses and conferences
Do you have something interesting from your field that you would like to present to others?
A poster is a visual representation of your work, usually in the form of a large poster that contains a combination of text, graphs, images, and charts. Posters are often used at courses and conferences to present research results or projects in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
Create a poster
There are many advantages to presenting posters at courses and conferences, you get to profile your work, your subject and your workplace. Participation can be listed in your own CV, and can give credit in connection with specialist approval.
When you present records, you are guaranteed to get spectators who are interested in what you have done, and you get an opportunity to present your results to others. So take the challenge, make posts!
Free academic lectures
At many conferences, it is also possible to give oral posters, or free professional lectures as it is also called. In this case, the organizer selects submitted abstracts that may be suitable for oral presentation as part of the academic program.
The length of the free academic lectures is usually between 10 and 20 minutes including time for questions.
Poster price on NITO BFI's courses
BFI wants to encourage biomedical laboratory technicians to provide posts on BFI's professional courses. Therefore, in many cases, a poster price will be announced in connection with poster exhibitions, and information about this will be provided during each individual course.
The poster award is a recognition of a poster who stands out with professional content, design and form of presentation. BFI reserves the right not to award the poster price.

Tittel på posteren
En god og dekkende tittel er viktig. Velg derfor en kort og presis tittel som vekker interesse og gir en klar ide om budskapet i posteren din.

Om forfatterne
Før opp forfatternes navn, yrkestittel, faglig tilknytning/organisasjon til forfatterne og kontaktinformasjon (e-post) til korresponderende forfatter rett under tittelen.

Introduksjon, materiale og metode
Gi en kort bakgrunn og formål med prosjektet: Hva skulle studien undersøke eller belyse? Beskriv så hvordan arbeidet ble gjennomført. Bruk beskrivende og informative overskrifter, unngå gjentagelser, og formidle budskapet visuelt (tabeller, figurer, bilder) der det er mulig.

Resultater og diskusjon
Presenter de viktigste funnene tydelig og helst grafisk. Unngå unødvendige detaljer, men du må alltid inkludere resultatene som inngår i konklusjonen. Det er som oftest ikke rom for noen diskusjon i en poster. En eventuell diskusjon bør være kortfattet.

Konklusjon og referanser
Konklusjonen presenteres tydelig, gjerne i stikkordsform. Oppsummer hovedfunnene og besvar spørsmålet eller hypotesen fra introduksjonen. Begrens antallet referanser. Det vil være relevant å henvise til artikkel/artikler som presenterer hele prosjektet som beskrives i posteren.
