Special criteria for support for further education and master's degrees
- Continuing education refers to credit-earning courses from university colleges and universities. If the further education provides a course certificate, but does not give credits, financial support will not be given.
- You can apply for further education that is relevant to your professional practice as a biomedical laboratory technician and where the admission requirement is at least a bachelor's degree. ICT and management subjects may fall under this.
- You can apply for master's programmes that are directly aimed at biomedical laboratory scientists, but the study fund also supports master's courses and degrees that are in line with the purpose, such as "Master of Biomedicine", "Master of Management" and "Master of ICT" or similar.
- You must state the name of the further education, the number of credits and the place of study in the application, in addition to a link to the programme description to document the relevance of the education.

Biomedical laboratory technicians who apply for specialist approval are covered extra
Biomedical laboratory technicians who apply for support for further education in connection with specialist approval may, at the discretion of the board, receive support for subsistence expenses in connection with further education.
In exceptional cases, specialist candidates may also receive support for continuing education courses. In total, this can amount to the maximum amount for specialist approval and travel.
