NITO BFI's purpose

  • We will work to further develop the professional and ethical standard in education and the practice of all aspects of the biomedical laboratory science profession 
  • We will safeguard the authorisation of biomedical laboratory technicians
  • We will work to highlight the competence of biomedical laboratory technicians and the role of the profession in the Norwegian health service 
  • We will help shape society's health and care policy 
  • We will seek to develop the field of biomedical laboratory sciences in a global context
