Workflow mapping in pathology laboratories

Privacy and data processing

Participation is voluntary, and information is treated confidentially. The results are reported so that individuals and laboratories cannot be recognized.

Participation in the survey is voluntary. The person who receives the questionnaire can choose whether they want to participate or not.

No names or directly identifying information are collected. The survey is nevertheless semi-anonymous. This means that certain background information, such as role, experience and type of laboratory, in combination can make the answers indirectly identifiable. Respondents are therefore asked not to write their name, personal information or other identifying information in free text fields.

After the answers have been submitted, they cannot be withdrawn. This is because the answers are not linked to names or directly identifiable people.

The results of the survey can be used in the master's thesis, scientific publication and academic dissemination. Data is reported in aggregate and anonymized, so that individuals and laboratories cannot be recognized.

The project has been notified to Sikt – the knowledge sector's service provider. OsloMet is the institution responsible for processing. The information is stored for up to three years and is anonymised when the purpose of the study has been achieved.

The processing of personal data is based on consent. The Project Owner student and supervisors at OsloMet have access to the data material.
