Results and further work
The results will be included in a master's thesis and planned to be used as a basis for scientific publication and further academic dissemination.
The results from the survey will be analysed and used as part of a master's thesis in Health and Technology at OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University.
The project will also form the basis for scientific publication. The findings must be communicated in a way that maintains confidentiality and makes it possible to discuss patterns, variation and opportunities for improvement across laboratories.
The goal is for the knowledge to benefit the academic community again. The results can be used in professional presentations, articles, further discussions in NITO BFI pathology and as a basis for improvement work in the laboratories.
The mapping will contribute to a more systematic knowledge base on work processes and workflows, based on skin samples in cases of clinical suspicion of malignancy. The study will also shed light on how organisation, technological support and practical implementation are related to capacity and lead time, and identify conditions that may represent bottlenecks or opportunities for improvement.
