NITO Nord-Rogaland and Sunnhordland
NITO Nord-Rogaland and Sunnhordland is one of 19 local branches in NITO, and we work to support and develop our members in the region. Our department is led by committed union representatives who are elected locally, with good help from employees at the NITO office in Stord. NITO Nord-Rogaland and Sunnhordland are working closely with the other departments in the west to create a broad offer for all member groups.

NITO where you are
NITO has 19 local branches spread out in all parts of the country, close to the members' workplaces. Your local branch board works on the basis of NITO's goals and plans to support members, union representatives and business groups.
The departments are responsible for establishing and supporting the business groups in their department and must safeguard your interests. The department is an important meeting place for union representatives and members of NITO, and is a formal part of NITO's management system.

Bedriftsgrupper
A company group is a gathering of NITO members in a workplace. The union representatives in the company group represent and negotiate on behalf of all members.
NITO Ung
NITO Ung focuses on young members who are at the start of their careers, up to the year they turn 36.
NITO Studentene
NITO Students is the organization for master's and bachelor's students in engineering and technology. 13,000 student members at 25 campuses. The departments have an overall responsibility to follow up student representatives in the local branches at the campuses.
Kurs og arrangementer
NITO's local branches arrange courses, thematic meetings and important meeting places for members and union representatives. Courses and events are done both physically, when networking is an important element, and digital; to reach even more people.
Politisk påvirkning
As departmental representatives, we have a unique opportunity to influence local and regional politics. Together with NITO's socio-political department, the local department employs engineers and technologists; education and jobs on the agenda.
In NITO, it is the members who govern
Many have agreed to make an extra effort for NITO. The branch board plans and implements many activities for members and union representatives during the year, and they are also an important link between the local branches and NITO centrally.

Elections in NITO
NITO is a member organisation. As a member of NITO, you are part of a member democracy that runs through the branches. Every year (around February) an annual meeting is held where you can help influence.
