Questions you often encounter

As a union representative, you are often asked questions about overtime, flexitime and what applies to travel time. It can be challenging to give good answers when the regulations are complicated and members expect your help.

Knowledge that provides security

In this course, you will get a practical introduction to the working hours provisions in the Working Environment Act. We look at the most common issues, so that you become more confident in your role and can give your members the help they need. You will learn to identify what is what, and what rights apply.

Here's what you get in return for participating:

  • You will be more confident about the rules that apply to different working time arrangements
  • You can more easily answer questions from members about overtime, travel time and flexitime
  • You know who is covered by the provisions of the Act, and who can be exempted
