About the course
The course will give you a thorough insight into practical and theoretical laboratory methods, both applications, and clinical indication/utility. You will gain a deeper understanding of existing methodology and at the same time explore exciting opportunities in the diagnostic methods of the future. Laboratory visits are also arranged to the Department of Pathology at St. Olav's Hospital.

Program for basic pathology courses
NOTE! The program is only preliminary, and there may be minor changes. The course provides 10.5 counting hours in specialist approval for biomedical laboratory scientists.

- Registration and product exhibition from Tuesday 9 September at 09:00, program start at 10:00.
- The event ends on Wednesday 10 September at 15:00.
- It is possible to sign up on single days.
- Separate registration for dinner and laboratory visits

The prices include lunch and break refreshments both days, as well as access to coffee/tea and water. A VAT surcharge of 25 percent is invoiced on the serving of food and beverages.
Midday
You are invited to a joint dinner on Tuesday evening in the hotel's restaurant at your own expense, NOK. NOK 750 excl. VAT. See registration form.
Hotel accommodation
Hotels are booked by the individual participant. NITO has a contract price at Scandic Nidelven to NOK 1670 per room, per night incl. VAT and breakfast. Rooms can be booked by phone and email with booking code: BBFI080925. NOTE! The code is valid until 12.08.25.
Poster on the course
NITO BFI Pathology encourages you to participate with posters on the course. Remember that it is possible to apply to NITO BFI's study fund for support to travel to courses with posters.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is Friday 8 August to . Participation with posters requires registration and participation in the course.
Cancellation policy for courses
If you sign up for one of our professional courses or conferences, you must pay a fee of 20 percent of the price. Cancellation later than three working days before, or no-show from the event, the full course fee will be invoiced.
To cancel a course, contact the course coordinator/course coordinator who will help you in the process.
