Cranes in line: What is really happening in Hamar now?

Overview of the Mjøsa front at Hamar, as it will be after the completed development. Buildings and quays in the foreground, Skibladner and Mjøsa in the background

There is a lot of construction going on in Hamar along Lake Mjøsa, but what is planned? And what has been done? Here you get the chance to gain a little more knowledge on a guided walk from Espern towards the city center. After the guided tour, we continue to Domkirkeodden and end with a joint supper.

Cranes in line: What is really happening in Hamar now?

Hamar 2.0

The development of Espern as a new district and the change of Mjøskanten by Hamar city centre will give Hamar a major boost and new jobs. We get a guided tour through the area to understand a little more what has been done and what will be created. Maybe we'll get some insight into the technical stuff that is done as well?

Perhaps you have heard in the news that a new hotel is being built, the discussions about railways, railway underpasses or housing development and Science Park? We will get an insight into what it originally looked like, what is being done and when it will all be completed.

Walk & talk

We meet outside Espern Activity Park and walk from there along Mjøsa as much as we can. This will be set up for a social trip where we walk together and have the opportunity to mingle a little along the way. There will be a few stops where the guide tells you about the area, If the weather gets a little rough, we will look at whether we would rather stop to get some of the guiding indoors. Once we have arrived at the center, the guide will leave us, and we continue walking along Mjøsa to Domkirkeodden. There we will end with supper.
