NITO Hordaland invites union representatives in all sectors to a joint union representative conference.
We meet at Sotra. After the Sotra Bridge opened in the early 1970s, there has been a huge development of both housing and business development in what is today Øygarden municipality. Many of our members have their workplaces here.
A lot has happened in recent years. There has been great development in the area around Straume and Northern Lights The CO2 transport and storage facility in Øygarden opened in September 2024, to name a few. In 2027, a new Sotra connection will open and many expect that development will once again accelerate.
On Friday, we will gain insight into local business development, housing development, infrastructure development and maybe we will have a company visit in the afternoon. On Saturday, we will summarize this year's wage negotiations and we will have workshops across the collective agreement areas.

Practical information:
- The conference starts with lunch on Friday at 12 noon and ends with lunch on Saturday at 12.00.
- We encourage you to use public transport to the conference, the nearest bus stop is Straume terminal.
- If you need to travel by private car and want to be reimbursed for expenses for car/parking, we want this to be clarified in advance of the conference. Send an e-mail to for an agreement on the use of a private car. We recommend parking in Kystbygarasjen.
- Accommodation is offered and covered for those who participate both days and need accommodation due to travel routes.
