NITO Extended Accident Insurance
An extended accident insurance policy provides additional financial security for both adults and children in the aftermath of an accident.

To be able to buy this insurance, you must be a member.
NITO Extended Accident Insurance covers, among other things:
- Compensation for permanent medical disability resulting from an accident – up to 5.3 million NOK for members (see the overview of insured amounts below).
- Medical treatment expenses following accidental injury – up to five per cent of the insured amount per person.
- A unique NITO benefit: up to 10,000 NOK in compensation for fractures caused by an accident.
The insurance provides 24-hour coverage, including during working hours, study time, and leisure time.
Your price
NITO Extended Accident Insurance is available to members aged 18–75, as well as to the member’s spouse/cohabiting partner and children (up to 21 years of age).
Price per month: 215 NOK
If you do not have a family, or if you would prefer a lower insured amount, you may buy NITO Accident Basic Insurance for 50 NOK per month.

G = National Insurance basic amount. G as of 1 January 2026 is 130,160 NOK.
The compensation is calculated on the basis of the sum insured amount applicable to the family composition on the date of the accident and the degree of medical disability. The insured amount is adjusted annually in line with the National Insurance basic amount (G).
