NITO pensioners
All NITO members who have left working life become part of the social community of NITO pensioners.
Many NITO members choose to continue as members after retiring from working life. Through NITO, pensioner members meet for member meetings with more or less technology themes. The meetings are important social and learning arenas. NITO has a desire to reach a broad audience.
NITO pensioners pay only 10 per cent of their working membership fees. For 2025, this means NOK 555. Members over the age of 82 are exempt from paying a membership fee.

We encourage you to register a new email address if you have previously had a work address registered. You will receive current information and invitations to various events.
The Executive Board wants, and attaches importance to, facilitating that NITO's pensioner members meet for activities and participate in membership offers in the local branches to which they belong.
Membership benefits for NITO pensioners
As a NITO pensioner, you have more or less the same benefits as a working member. Among other things, as a NITO pensioner, you can attend the branches' annual meeting with the right to vote.
The department's pensioners' committee provides pensioner members with various membership offers, such as member meetings, thematic meetings and social activities.
Other advantages can be mentioned; one hour of free legal assistance, favorable insurance schemes and Teknisk Ukeblad.
As one of just under 15,000 other NITO pensioners, NITO will both centrally and locally provide you with an offer that can be of benefit and benefit in your retirement.
NITO's Pensioners' Committee (NPU)
Although NITO is primarily an employee organisation, the organisation has relatively active pensioners' committees locally in the branches. NITO's Executive Board has appointed a special committee to work for pensioners. This committee has the following mandate:
- NPU (NITO's Pensioners' Committee) will be a coordinating and advisory body for the departments' pensioners' committees.
- NPU shall be the Executive Board's active listening post for the currents and thoughts that are prevalent among the pensioner members.
- NPU is the Executive Board's advisory body on matters of a pensioners' policy nature.
- NPU shall carry out its activities within the framework of NITO's adopted strategies in accordance with NITO's value base.
