Sweco
Sweco is Europe's largest architectural and engineering company with almost 2,400 employees in Norway and 26,000 employees in the Sweco Group. They assist in large projects within water and energy and in projects focusing on efficient and environmentally friendly transport solutions.
With offices in 12 countries spread across Northern Europe, Sweco has contributed to community building on several levels for 100 years. When they opened a new head office in Urtekvartalet in Grønland a couple of years ago, they chose to focus on conducting outreach activities for the local community. Among other things, they decided to establish a sewing studio there, where foreign women can work on repairing clothes while learning Norwegian.
