NITO BFI's advisory committee for pre-analysis, point-of-care analysis and self-testing

NITO BFI pre-analysis and PNA consists of committed biomedical laboratory technicians from all over the country who work with pre-analysis and/or point-of-care analysis. 

About the NITO BFI pre-analysis and PNA committee

The members of the committee are elected by NITO BFI's professional board. They advise on professional and professional policy issues, operate professional networks, arrange courses and share their knowledge. This ensures that NITO BFI's measures, strategies and policies are based on a solid scientific basis. 

Mandate for NITO BFI pre-analysis and PNA

The committee's tasks are as follows:

  • Be an advisor to NITO BFI's professional board and NITO BFI's members in matters regarding pre-analysis, point-of-care analysis and self-testing.
  • Contribute to the administration of specialist approval for biomedical laboratory scientists.
  • Keep in touch with and collaborate with Noklus, among other things to be informed about matters that affect pre-analysis, point-of-care analysis and self-testing.
  • Maintain contact with and collaborate with other relevant professional bodies, including educational institutions.
  • Seek to influence the development and implementation of analyses and routines within pre-analysis, point-of-care analysis and self-testing that have an impact on the biomedical laboratory scientists' professional practice.
  • Based on the biomedical laboratory scientists' professional responsibility, contribute to professional development and quality development within the committee's subject areas.
  • Be a reference group for NITO BFI's representatives in national and international forums regarding pre-analysis, point-of-care analysis and self-testing.
  • Contribute with input and professional expertise to NITO BFI's course activities.
    Ensure continuous updating and follow-up of NITO BFI's policy document on blood sampling in hospitals and on point-of-care analysis.

In addition, there are various adhoc tasks and other tasks that relate to the committee's subject areas. The mandate was adopted by NITO BFI's academic board on 20-21 March 2017.
