Minutes NITO Pensioners' Committee
The Pensioners' Committee has been appointed by NITO's Executive Board, and will work to coordinate the work of local Pensioners' Committees with member meetings and adapted programmes for the target group.
Many NITO members choose to continue as members after retiring from working life. Through NITO, pensioner members meet for member meetings with more or less technology themes. The meetings are important social and learning arenas. NITO has a desire to reach a broad audience.
Mandate
Although NITO is primarily an employee organisation, the organisation has relatively active pensioners' committees locally in the branches. The mandate and task have changed over the years and are now:
- NPU (NITO's Pensioners' Committee) will be a coordinating and advisory body for the departments' pensioners' committees
- NPU shall be the Executive Board's active listening post for the currents and thoughts that are prevalent among pensioner members
- NPU is the Executive Board's advisory body on matters of a pensioners' policy nature.
- NPU shall carry out its activities within the framework of NITO's adopted strategies in accordance with NITO's value base.
Protocols and reports
NPU has regular meetings and keeps members updated on its work through open minutes.
