Collective agreements in the private sector

On this page you will find all main agreements and collective agreements between NITO and the employers' organisations in the private sector - NHO (with Finance Norway), Virke and Virke-HUK.

NHO - Collective agreement

In NITO's agreement with NHO, you will find rights and rules related to salary and other financial rights for all NITO members who are employed in companies affiliated with NHO. The agreement runs from 01.06.2024 to 31.05.2026.

NHO - Main agreement

The main agreement between NITO and NHO ensures the right of co-determination in the workplaces and regulates the cooperation between management and employees. The agreement expires on 31.12.2029.

Finance Norway - Main agreement/collective agreement

From 1 January 2023, Finance Norway is a national association of the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO). The main agreement between NITO and Finance Norway works as before until further notice. NITO is in dialogue with the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) about how we best safeguard members in the financial industry through collective agreements.

Virke - Collective agreement

The agreement between NITO and Virke describes the financial rights related to salary, pension and job placements, etc. The agreement is valid from 01.06.2024 to 31.05.2026

Virke - Main agreement

The main agreement between  NITO and Virke ensures NITO members in workplaces affiliated to Virke the right to co-determination in the workplace, while at the same time regulating the cooperation between employees and management. The agreement is valid until 31.12.2025.

Virke HUK - Main agreement

The main agreement between Virke HUK and NITO is also called the parallel agreement, since there are identical agreements between Virke and many organisations. It contains the right to  co-determination, and it regulates several aspects of the working environment. The agreement is valid from 01.01.2022 to 31.12.2025.

Virke-HUK - national collective agreements

Virke HUK's national agreements with NITO are divided according to which sector it covers. The agreements contain the guidelines for pay and financial rights, as well as local wage negotiations, etc.

Direct agreements

If the employer is not organised and does not wish to become one, it is possible to enter into a separate collective agreement for this particular enterprise. We call this a direct agreement.
