NITO Intro 1 - English

As a union representative, you are a crucial link between the members and the management at the workplace. In this course, you will become familiar with the role and the tools you need to be a confident and effective representative for your members.

NITO's union representatives form a valuable network, and by participating in various courses, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with others.

This will be covered in the course:

  • The role of the union representative
  • NITO at the local level - your resource persons
  • Introduction to negotiation
  • Your tools as a union representative

The course is conducted on Teams and requires active participation. Participants are encouraged to reflect on their own role as union representatives, ask questions, and share their experiences. Therefore, it is important to prioritize your time and avoid working on other tasks during the course.

Practical Information:

  • This course will be held in English
  • The link to the Teams meeting will be sent out 1-2 days before the course starts, so make sure to reserve the time in your calendar when you receive the participant confirmation.
  • We recommend everyone to connect to Teams well before the course starts to ensure you have received the Teams link and that your audio and camera are functioning.
  • The course is engaging, informative, and based on active dialogue via Teams. Therefore, we ask that you keep your camera on and sit in a quiet place where you won't be disturbed.
